Introducing Yomi Robotic Dental Implants
Robot-guided. Human-driven.
At ORA 4X, we’re committed to offering our patients the most advanced treatment options on the market. We’re proud to offer Yomi, the first and only FDA-cleared robotics technology for dental implant surgery.
Yomi is a state-of-the-art robotics system that helps us place implants with unparalleled accuracy using a minimally invasive technique. You’ll get the smile you’ve been waiting for and the ease of a smoother recovery.
The Precision Advantage of Robot-Guided Surgery
The Yomi system represents a new standard of care in implant dentistry.
Traditional dental implant surgery relies on freehand drilling and visual cues, which can increase the risk of minor deviations and longer recovery times.
Yomi transforms this process. It provides a detailed 360° view of your mouth and guides your provider’s hand in real time, allowing for smaller incisions, faster healing, and results you can look forward to.
How Does Yomi Work?
The Yomi robotic implant device uses advanced 3D modelling and robotic guidance to deliver unmatched precision in implant placement.
Using a detailed scan of your anatomy, Yomi helps your ORA 4X provider create a personalized surgical plan that maps out every millimeter of your implant’s position, depth, and angle. During your procedure, it tracks the surgical instrument in real time and provides tactile feedback to keep every motion on course.
Your provider remains fully in control. Yomi enhances that control so your implant is placed with the highest level of accuracy possible.
Your Smile, Restored in Five Simple Steps
Our goal is to make dental implant surgery fast, comfortable, and precise. Yomi helps us do that by guiding each step of the procedure with pinpoint accuracy and minimal invasiveness.
Link- We’ll start by fitting you with the YomiLink splint, which is a small, comfortable mouthpiece that attaches gently to your teeth. This helps the Yomi system track your jaw’s position in real time.
Scan- Next, we’ll take a detailed scan of your mouth using a CBCT (Cone-Beam Computed Tomography) scanner. This gives us a detailed view of your teeth and jaws, which Yomi will use to create a 3D model of your anatomy.
Plan- We’ll then use the YomiPlan™ software to create a digital surgical plan. This program tells us the exact location, angle, and depth to place each implant, and will ultimately help guide the surgical instrument during your procedure.
Surgery- During the procedure, Yomi provides real-time robotic guidance. It uses audio, visual, and haptic feedback (gentle resistance) to help us follow every step of the surgical plan with absolute precision.
Restore- Over time, your body will heal and fuse the implant with the surrounding bone. When that process is complete, we’ll insert a crown, or replace your temporary crown* with a permanent, custom-made one.
*Note: Some patients qualify for same-day restoration, allowing us to place a temporary crown immediately after surgery. Others may require a short healing period before final placement.

Frequently Asked Questions

-
Yomi is a robotics system that helps doctors place dental implants. It uses advanced 3D modeling software to create a detailed view of the patient’s anatomy, links the imaging data to a robotic arm, and uses real-time tracking and sensory feedback to guide the surgeon’s movements for maximum accuracy and minimal tissue disruption.
-
Yes, robotic dental implant surgery is considered safe. In fact, clinical research has shown that a dental implant robot carries fewer risks than traditional surgical methods. It’s more accurate than freehand drilling, surgical guides, or navigation technology and causes less disruption to surrounding tissues.
-
Yomi’s advanced 3D modeling and planning software, combined with the multisensory guidance of its robotic arm, makes it more accurate than other methods of implant placement.
-
No, Yomi is not fully automated. The provider remains in full control at every step — Yomi simply helps them plan the procedure, visualize the surgical site, and keep their hand movements aligned with the plan.
-
Yes, patients can often receive their implants on the same day as the consultation, and robot dental surgery allows for what’s called “immediate load” crowns (temporary crowns that are placed with the implant). This is not available for every patient, and your dentist will determine your eligibility based on the specifics of your case.
-
Yomi’s precision allows for smaller incisions, minimal sutures, and faster healing. Because it allows for pinpoint accuracy, Yomi often eliminates the need for traditional “flap” surgery — where the gum is cut and lifted to expose the bone. Instead, the implant can be placed through a tiny opening, meaning there’s less tissue damage.
-
Most adults who qualify for dental implants can opt for robot-assisted surgery if it's offered by their provider. During your consultation, your dentist will explain surgical methods as well as the overall treatment plan and recovery process.
